New home insurance offer from Nationwide

Nationwide have introduced a new home insurance offer which will give customers buying their buildings and contents cover jointly a 20 per cent discount now and on next year’s premium, if both policies are renewed at the same time.

The offer is intended to reward customer loyalty and is available until the end of July. Other aspects of Nationwide's home insurance include cover for the cost of temporary accommodation, up to £1,000 to cover contents in the garden and also cover for students’ belongings while they are at university or college .

The building society's insurance director, Robin Bailey, said: "We believe in providing our customers with long term good value and our latest home insurance offer is no exception."

Nationwide have also announced that they have distributed over 5,000 copies of its publication "The Teenager's Guide to Money " to secondary schools and colleges throughout the UK.
