Following the news recently that over a million British homeowners have argued with their neighbours about noise, a spokesperson for the Association of British Insurers is warning consumers to make sure that they have adequate home insurance cover just in case they enter a legal dispute .
Kelly Ostler-Coyle said: "When you are taking out taking out your home insurance you don't just want to go for the cheapest. You want to be looking properly at your policy to see what cover you have for everything and not just going on price."
She advises consumers to look at their policy to see if it includes legal cover and risk extensions and also to clarify exactly what items are covered.
Andrew Perryman from bestdealinsurance.co.uk warns people against buying what may appear to be a good deal without taking any advice, as they may later find their claims rejected later because they are not covered properly.
