Three new policies launched by Tesco Home Insurance

Tue, 17 Jun 2008

Tesco Home Insurance has launched three new policies, with various levels of cover. Value, Standard and Finest will give customers a range of options depending on their needs and budgets .

The new Value insurance is priced at 30 per cent less than the Standard product on average and includes only essential items.

Standard insurance is an upgraded version of Tesco's existing home insurance product. All the basics are covered in this policy and no compulsory excess is included for enhancements. Also, there is over £10,000 of additional cover at no extra cost.

The most comprehensive of the three is Finest insurance, which has a number of added features. These include unlimited buildings cover, home emergency and ID fraud detection .

Jim Bruce, head of Tesco Home Insurance said: "We've brought this range to the home insurance market to offer even greater choice, clarity and value."

A recent study by Tesco revealed that by not switching home insurance, Britons lost out on £26 million last year.
